Understanding Growth Hacking through examples
Growth Hacking is a modern marketing trend that is responsible for the growth, expansion and promotion of a company, usually a startup, through atypical solutions and innovative developments. In other words, it is a search for non-standard ways to develop and scale a company, which can rapidly raise the interest in a product and stimulate its demand.

Hotmail - At a time when the use of e-mail was only available as a paid service, Hotmail created a free-to-use e-mail platform. A year and a half later they were bought out by Microsoft, thanks to the exponential growth the service experience in just a single year. This is good case of Growth Hacking in action, that is, value and distribution.

Dropbox began distributing data hosting on a massive scale and for free, which allowed anyone to put whatever they wanted into a virtual space. People started to upload their data, and as a result, the company quickly ran out of space. But users were already hooked on the product and uploaded a lot of information onto it, but they weren't ready to pay yet. Dropbox made an interesting offer: as a reward for inviting their friends, users received additional virtual space in GB.
In order to properly implement Growth Hacking, you need to understand when users are already hooked on your product. To accomplish this, you need to analyze your metrics and observe the users' behavior.

Algorithm for analyzing user behavior:

1. Look at your audience and divide it into two types: those drop off or behave uniquely and those who are starting to become very active.

2. Understand what the triggers were in your product and how they influenced the behavior of active users.

3. Think about ways to promote and enhance this behavior.

Growth Hacking has become a real trend in the IT space. In the face of a growing number of innovative ideas, the need for specialists who can come up with extraordinary methods to promote a product will only increase with time. Let's take a look at some examples together with Mikhail Karpov.
